Cause: I think it was that plecos fish we bought. It either had already had the disease, or it picked it up from the turtle's tank, or when it died, bacteria and fungi and whatnot grew on it in the tank [ if so, that would be majorly fast growing ]

The good news: my mom bought fungi care medicine
The bad news: it only helps the Jack Dempsey, the Black Convict has Ich. Fungi care doesnt help Ich because it's not fungi. And it died the night of begin meds.

Augh wtf happened! It started two days ago, close to healthy fish still eating. Jack Dempsey hung out behind some fake plants. A day later, I noticed the Green Terror had frosty eyes.. still swimming a bit, bit I said there was something wrong with it. And fuck, overnight the Green Terror was dead or very close to it. Its entire body was covered in white stuff and it was digusting and creeped me out! Our Jack Dempsey is sick, his eyes are frosty white covered too like the Green Terror, but I hope his sheer size and aggressiveness will tackle the fungi/bacteria/disease. And that the last fish, Black Convict, stays healthy! But it looks as though it has Ichs.

We've done a water change and removed the dead Green Terror. I didn't get a good look at the dead fish yet so I can't be too sure; I don't have any photos. I did a little research, but the closest culprit I think would be the Cotton Wool Disease. If so, I'm sure all of the fish will catch it if we don't disinfect the tank-- it's probably expensive too. Any ideas? I blame the plecos fish newly introduced for maybe a few weeks; it died first.














We now have a lamp, a small screen to be cheap to be used only where the lamp is going on top, thermometer, new gravel, filter... the works to $110.

So we got two Red Eared Sliders, they are turtles, from our cousin. We put them in a brand new setting, an aquarium with gravel at the bottom, and two huge rough desert rocks, and sea shells crabs would be in like hermit crabs, and an abalone shell. We have the Zoo Med Turtle Dock too, but my mom is being annoying and even though we have it and bought it, she now decides to return it because it is "no use" and she says "turtles can climb on the rocks" which doesn't even provide a dry terrain which the RES need!

The turtles are somewhat nervous and somewhat calm, but they're still scared enough to shy away from the dock I think. I put a fish heater in there because the water seemed too cold, we dont have a thermometer, yet my mom probably wouldn't sit for that. She already took the dock out, and I want to leave it in there so as to give the RES a try after settling in... this is only several hours after introducing them in afterall! And I know they're supposed to be able to climb onto the dock because there are videos of it. >.>

What to dooo. It's a size small, so she uses that as a reason. I tell her to buy a bigger size and put it in but she says the rocks will do. This is so frustrating omfg guys.
